By JEREMY KOEHLER Prep Editor, Wichita East High School While the whole East track team has fought inconsistent practice and meet weather this season, senior Laura Combs had to fight even more, dealing with lingering cross country injuries. The injuries have not prevented Combs from having a positive outlook on the young season. "Since I'm coming back from an injury, my goal is just to finish the season to the best of my ability," Combs said. "I'm not really sure what obstacles might still lie in front of me, but I hope to still be an active participant, either as a runner or as an active supporter of the team.
